Aziza Sbeity in Moncton 2010
Aziza Sbeity went to the 13th IAAF Juniors World Championship - Canada, where she ran the 100m flat for the first round. It was a beautiful run where she overtook KAFANDO from Burkina Faso in the last 40m and crossed the finish line 6th, setting a modest 12.44s.
Aziza was the only Lebanese athlete to go for this World Championship, without her coach Alice Keyrouz, only with the member of the Lebanese Federation Fady Saleme to represent Lebanon. Usually, in this kind of competitions each athlete should be supervised by his coach, which is not the case of our champion Aziza Sbeity. And usually, if our athletes didn't make the standards, two athletes, the best girl and best boy in the country, are able to participate in this kind of championship.
Why it isn't the case today in Lebanon? Will it always be financial problems the major c
ause of these kinds of situations??
