Off Season?? Usually most of the athletes take a break after the Open Club Championship, but this is not the case for everyone!
Sara Joe Kortbawi participated at the 2nd edition of the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China. She ran the 800 meters heat withs a Season Best of 2:19.42, but improved not only her season best but also her personal and national Youth record for this distance with 2:17.62.
After spending only one day in Lebanon after the Youth Olympic Games, KORTBAWI joined Lea OBEID to a two weeks training camp in Aspire, Qatar, with their coach Elie SAADE.
Ali HAZER on the other hand, is preparing for the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea that will be held from 19th of September to 4th of October 2014. HAZER will participate in the 400m Hurdles.
We should mention that he is been improving the 400mH record for years alone, and he is the only representative of track and field from Lebanon in these Games.
In another context, Maristes Champville Club is organizing 4 successive meetings at Jamhour track on the 17, 20, 23 and 24 September 2014, for athletes who want to break records.
Good Luck for all our athletes, abroad and in Lebanon!!
