Arab school championship: 2 Medals and 4 records for Lebanon
For almost 30years, Lebanon has received no medals in athletics for the Arab School Championship, first, because there is no future plan to educate our young people to love the sport and athletics in particular, and second, because we don't give athletics its importance being the mother and the base of all sports.

On the other hand, in the 18th Arab School Championships and after so many years, Lebanon has finally rekindle the flame, that was almost extinguished, with a silver medal for Maria-Pia Rahme (youth 2) in the Javelin throw, with a throw at 28m50, and a bronze medal for the 4x100 meters relay team with a new national record for youth category, Krystel Saneh (youth 1), Celine Keyrouz (midget 2), Christelle Rahme (midget 1) and Maha AL Mouallem (youth 2) finished the 4x100m relay clocking 52.04s (previous record 53.60s).
We also note the performances of our young athletes, Maha AL Mouallem 6th in the 100m final with a 12.90s. Laura Saliba, who set a new Lebanese record in 400m hurdles, 1:10.20 finished 4th, and ran the 200m in 27.76s and took the 5th place in the semi-final. Krystel Saneh took 5th place in the long jump and break the Lebanese record fo
r youth category with a jump at 5m19. Lory Tashjian finished 7th in the 400m final with a time of 1:02.45, Sara Awally  which unfortunately ended her 800m race after a fall at 600m and couldn't finish the 1500m but she affected her team; Laura Saliba (youth 2), Lory Tashjian (youth 1), Elsa Khrouy (youth 2) and Sara (youth 1), to win the 4th place and break the youth and juniors Lebanese record clocking 4:12.25.
Back to our men, where Raphael Samaha took 7th place in the 400m heats clocking a modest 52.04 and 4th place in the 200m heats with a 23.52s. Marc Ward jumped 5m85 in length, it wasn't his best day, but he was there for the 4x100m men with Raphael Samaha (youth 2) in the 2nd position, Pierre Sarkis (youth 1) and Philippe Paoli (midget 2) for the final, they finished 6th in the relay with a great time of 45seconds.

Congrats for Lebanon and for all the Arab countries, Egypt (1st), Algeria, Morocco, Kuwait, KSA, Sudan, Jordan, Bahrain, Tunis, Syria, Palestine, Iraq.
