She finally did it! She finally proves it! Diala El-Khazen is here and ready for the challenge! Her career in the long jump started this year, where she jumped from 5m06 to 5m08 to finally reach her goal with 5m28 and break the Junior Lebanese Record at the Record-Breaking meet organized by the Inter-Lebanon Club that took place at the Sports City - Beyrouth.

Preceded by Nathalie Saikaly with 5m24, Diala came to improve the Lebanese juniors record by 4cm. Known as a sprinter, Diala breaks last year in 2009, the juniors record in the 4x100m relay at the francophone games. Today, it was her first "individual" Lebanese record, and probably the best till now.

The best is yet to come Diala!

Usain Bolt and Tyson Gay were performing tonight (06/08/10) in Stockholm for the Samsung Diamond league (stage 11), where Tyson won the race in 9.84s, when behind him was Usain Bolt in 9.97s! Bolt ran his semi-final in 10.10s, where Gay did it in 10.02s. Its the first time in 3 years that the unbeatable Bolt loses. Will it happen again?
We also note the absence of Asafa Powell who announced  yesterday his withdrawal, because of his injuries which don't allow him to even finish the race.

On the other hand, in the 18th Arab School Championships and after so many years, Lebanon has finally rekindle the flame, that was almost extinguished, with a silver medal for Maria-Pia Rahme (youth 2) in the Javelin throw, with a throw at 28m50, and a bronze medal for the 4x100 meters relay team with a new national record for youth category, Krystel Saneh (youth 1), Celine Keyrouz (midget 2), Christelle ...
