2 Medals in the last day of the Asian Games, Aleppo - Syria
The Lebanese team finally ended up winning a total of 10 Medals in the 1st Edition of the West Asian Games taking place in Syria - Aleppo, where Gretta Taslakian took her second gold medal this time in the 200m flat with an amazing 24.01s (SB), and the 4x400m relay team took silver with Saria Traboulsi, Aziza Sbeity, Diala El-Khazen and Gretta Taslakian. It's maybe the first time that Lebanon collect 10 medals in one competition!

In the 3rd day morning, Ramzi Naim had to run the 200m at 9:15 AM where he clocked 22.40s, and in the afternoon, Maha Al-Mouallem took 4th in the 200m with 27,24s, after Gretta, the Iranian who took silver on 100m and 200m, and the Iraqi girl who also took bronze on the 100m and 200m.

We cannot ignore the fact that some Lebanese athletes who didn't participate in the Games, and specially girls, could have had the chance to take medals. Any way, this historical collect should motivate, not only the athletes, but also the Lebanese Federation, to bring a larger number of athletes and gives them a chance to stand on the podium just like the 7 girls and the only man who took medals in this first edition of the West Asian Games.

Congrats to our Lebanese Team who did a really great job in the 1st Asian Games 2010 collecting two gold, four silver and four bronze!
